Covid19 saw the cancellation of our educational programs and recreational rides for 2020. We’re hopeful that we’ll be able to resume our rides in Spring 2021. We miss everyone and can’t wait to start rolling with you again so stay tuned for updates.
Bike Windsor Essex is pleased to offer our 2019 series of casual bicycle tours to explore and discover your city and region. This year, our weekly themed rides will explore art, architecture, our natural heritage, history, farmers markets and more – on Saturday mornings at 10am from the Bike Kitchen at 628 Monmouth.
Rides are slow, families welcome, and they last about 1.2 – 2 hours. Participation is free with your Bike Windsor Essex membership, $5 for non-members. Our 2019 rides were kicked off on April 28 for our annual Earth Day Ride to Malden Park. Watch our Facebook page, and website for any changes or updates.
A couple of friendly reminders: Riders agree to ride at their own risk and are requested to sign the waiver before participating. These are all ages rides, we will go as fast as the slowest rider. Helmets are mandatory for youth under 18. Riders may be photographed for promotional purposes. Bring water and wear sunscreen.
Routes are carefully planned and may be subject to change should situations arise. Pay attention to the Ride Leader and Sweeper, obey the rules of the road and have fun!
Want to Lead or Support a Ride?: Our Ride Leaders and Sweepers are Bike Windsor Essex volunteers and qualified cyclists. If you are interested in leading or supporting a ride – or several rides – let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks to the City of Windsor for supporting the city rides with an Arts, Culture & Heritage Fund grant.
