Thanks to everyone who came down to Milk last night for the screening of Veer. It was certainly entertaining and eclectic! We had a turn out of 2-3 dozen, and had quite a few bicycles parked out front, including the new electric-delivery bike from Chanoso’s. Donations at the door raised approximately $100 towards incorporating as a non-profit, which will allow us to move forward as an organization.
It was great that the film showed the community cycle centre, as they have a bicycle refurbishment/recycling program similar to the program we would like to see started in Windsor. For anyone interested in reading about Pedalpalooza in Portland, it is running June 10-27 this year (aka right now) with over 281 events.
Thanks again to Milk for hosting us (on fairly short notice), Chanoso’s for the tasty hors d’ourves & contribution towards incorporation, and for everyone who came out and made the event a success.
