Let’s get the Ganatchio Trail Connection built!

Imagine being able to safely ride your bike from the east end of Tecumseh all the way to the Lakeview Park Marina in Windsor. Imagine you are riding on a trail separated from Riverside drive with your family. Sound like a dream? With your help, it could become a reality.

The Town of Tecumseh is seeking input about the installation of a multi-use trail along the south side of Riverside Drive between the west limit of the Town and Manning Rd.

The trail would connect residents, including those living south and east of the area with the 11.25km Ganatchio Trail System and the trails east of Manning Rd. It would also provide for pedestrian circulation for residents on the south side of Riverside Drive. The existing sidewalk on the north side of Riverside Drive would remain.

Unfortunately, some residents in the area are concerned that they will lose “frontage” and are organizing to oppose this proposal. To be clear, this project will be built on the public right-of-way, not on private land.

Please show your support for this by sending your questions and comments by email prior to June 28, 2018, to Mr. Paul Bezaire, Planner at pbezaire@bezaire.ca.
