UWindsor Prof to Bike Across Canada

I heard about this story a couple of weeks ago, but couldn’t find the article when I wanted to post about it on here!

A story ran in the Windsor Star today about Lori Buchanan, a psychology professor at the university, and her twin Nancy, who will ride from Richmond B.C. to Dartmouth N.S. starting on June 6th. They plan on pulling up to the Atlantic by July 26th, averaging over 100 kms per day.

The 50-year old sisters are raising money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. They lost their father to a heart attack when they were 15, and their brother suffered a major stroke. They hope to raise $40,000, and have already raised $5600 for the cause.

Seeing people fuse together two passions is always inspiring for me. Cycling really is a great way to keep your heart healthy. Good luck to the sisters!
