The Essex Region Conservation Foundation recently kicked off a fundraising campaign to extended the Chrysler Greenway from Essex to Amherstburg. The campaign was announced in partnership with Caesar’s, who made an initial donation of $25,000 with a three year commitment in partnership with their employees.
The Chrysler Canada Greenway is one of the areas most important trails, used for running, cycling, hiking, and geocaching. The Essex – Amherstburg Greenway will intersect with the Chrysler Canada Greenway.
In return for Caesar’s donation, a naming right was granted for the entrance to the Chrysler Canada Greenway on County Road 8 near Walker Road.
Previous fundraising efforts for the trail include the Aviva Community Fund and efforts by the Essex Rotary Club.
