Ottawa Adds Free “Park & Cycle” Program

Ottawa commuters will soon have another option, with the start of a “Park & Cycle” pilot project.

The project, launched by the National Capital Commission, will give cyclists free access to ten parking lots, where drivers can leave their cars and cycle the remaining distance. The pilot project will run until October 2011. Each lot is located between 5 and 15 km from Parliament Hill.

This program is intended to help cyclists who live in the outer suburbs, but would still prefer to ride part way to work.
