Just a reminder that the 2010 Tour di Via Italia is taking place tomorrow, Sunday September 5th. The 2010 edition of the Tour has been selected as a Provincial Criterium .
The race, which has been held every year on Erie Street since 1958 is an important tradition for both the Italian community, and Windsor in general. From the first year onwards, the race has brought thousands of spectators out to watch the race, and now attracts visitors come from across Canada, the United States, and overseas.
The Windsor Star coverage gives the schedule for the event:
Cyclists will compete in 14 different divisions on the slightly less than two-kilometre circuit.
Leading off at 12:30 p.m., will be the Masters A division, followed by Masters B, C and D.
At 2:30 p.m. the juniors, cadets, mini-me and pee wees hit the course followed by the women’s event.
