May 28-30 will be some busy days for biking in Windsor.
The Ontario Lung Association Bike Trek has charity rides with three distances: 25km, 100km, and 200km. The 25km goes from Windsor to River Canard, the 100km ride goes from Leamington Marina to St. Clair College, and the 200km ride leaves from St. Clair College, heads to Leamington for the night and then returns the next day.
The Windsor St. Clair and Windsor Roseland Rotary clubs are putting on two rides on the weekend, called “Pedal for Polio“. There is a wine trail ride which includes an escorted tour, samplings at three wineries and a multi-course meal. There is also a Family Ride on the Chrysler Greenway with entertainment for kids such as facepainting, animals from objibway, and Clarol the clown.
The Heart and Stroke Foundation will have their Big Bike fundraiser this weekend as well. They will be at Dean Martini’s on May 28th, and at the Ford Test Track on May 29th.
