Good news! Deziel Drive and Rhodes Drive Trails are open

Today we celebrate some great new cycling infrastructure in Windsor!  You can now ride on protected pathways and multi-use trails from Walker Road to Pillette Road.  This will provide a shorter and safer route for bike commuters –  welcome news for those working in the firms along Deziel and Rhodes Drive who want to cycle to work.

We would love to see the companies located along the new trails encourage their employees to choose active transportation by offering secure bike racks and (dare we say it?)…showers?

More good news! Phase 2 of the Rhodes Drive project is already getting started – it will begin at Pillette Road and will continue all the way to the existing trail at Quality Way and Jefferson. We will keep you informed of new developments.

Below, we offer links to virtual rides along the new infrastructure.  Check these videos out on your computer – then get on your bike and try them out.

  1. By my observation I noticed that 20-40 drive exits were passed along this route yet not a single piece of signage was put in place to warn drivers or cyclist of crossings. That makes it incomplete in my thinking. A nice stretch none the less.
