Last week, the City of Windsor hosted a community meeting to get public input on creating a cycle path or multi use trail on Cabana Road from Walker to the new Parkway. With only two days notice, the meeting took place at the same day and time as the Canadian launch of North American Bike Week. Crazy, we know!
This issue has been moved to the top of our agenda for tomorrow night’s board meeting. City officials have been invited to attend to provide us with details. Rumour has it that the multi use trail would require walking bikes 30% of the route. Say what?!!
So don’t miss tomorrow’s meeting commencing at 5:30pm at Walkerville Brewery. Everyone is welcome to join us and share their love of cycling. We’ll also be discussing a number of other local cycling initiatives.
