Biking to work should be something you do regualrily, but if you need another reason to leave the car keys at home the Windsor Bicycling Committee is hosting an event where you can ride with other commuters and get a FREE breakfast. Now what cyclist doesn’t like free food?

Join the Windsor Bicycling Committee (WBC) as they travel some of Windsor’s bike lanes, trails and signed routes to get to work on the morning of Friday, May 31st, 2013.

Starting from the WFCU Centre, they will set out at 6:45am and take the Ganatchio Trail, the bike lanes along Riverside Drive and the Riverfront Trail through downtown on our journey to the CBC at Riverside and Crawford, arriving by 8am. The first 50 participants to arrive at the WFCU Centre will receive a Bike to Work Windsor t-shirt, donated by J&R Sports Connection. A complimentary bagel breakfast with coffee, juice and fresh fruit, as well as an encouraging address from some of Windsor’s leaders. They will also announce the recipient of the Commuter of the Year Award! They are even accepting applications for the award up until May 26th, so if you live or work in Windsor and feel you or someone else has what it takes submit an application to commutebybikewindsor@gmail.com.
