A member of the Windsor Bicycling Committee brought this article to my attention… it’s by Globe and Mail columnist Dave McGinn, and it lays out some basic concepts to keep in mind when riding on the roads.
In the article, McGinn interviews John Tolkamp from the Canadian Cycling Association. Tolkamp emphasizes three main points to safe cycling. “You need your equipment, you need some basic bike-handling skills, you need to know and follow the rules of the road.”
Here’s a link to the article… it’s a good read, check it out!
Strange how they say they think a bell or horn is valuable, when it’s the law.
I think that law only applies to Ontario, but the article is probably for all of Canada.
