Make cycling an issue for next month’s election

This message is from Eleanor McMahon, President of the Share the Road Cycling Coalition and a key partner at the upcoming summit on October 3, 2011:

With the Ontario Election under way you CAN have an impact. Our provincial government unlike Quebec and BC has no infrastructure funding, legislative plan or policy in place to give cycling the recognition it deserves as a growing mode of transportation and recreation in Ontario. Go to www.activecommunitiespledge.ca and take the pledge. When candidates come to your door ask them: “What are you doing for cycling in my community and what are you prepared to do if elected? How are you going to work for our children to promote cycling and walking to school?”
