Last weekend was the annual Rona MS Bike Tour -the largest such tour in Canada at 150 km. This year was the 21st anniversay of the event, which had nearly 2,000 participants.
The Windsor Star had an article this morning about Windsorites Janice & Arthur Handelman, who have been the top Canadian fundraisers for the event for more than a decade – raising over $50,000 last year and aiming for $60,000 this year.
Last year the tour (which takes place in multiple locations across Canada) raised more than $9 million which was used to fund research into a cure for MS as well as to fund services for people affected by MS.
