The Clairview section of the Ganatchio Trail from Genevieve Avenue to Riverdale Avenue is under construction for approximately six weeks, weather permitting. Cyclists and pedestrians are urged to use alternative routes while the project is underway.
The updates to the off-road trail are part of the $600,000 Infrastructure Stimulus Funding provided by the Government of Canada, the Government of Ontario and the City of Windsor for the Ganatchio Trail. Windsor City Council designated $624 million toward capital projects, which includes support from the Government of Canada, the Government of Ontario and the City of Windsor, thereby accelerating a 5-year capital plan to an aggressive 3-year plan.
